Biography
Kimberly Munro received her B.A. in Anthropology in 2007 and M.S. in Geography (with a focus in archaeological applications in GIS) in 2009 from Florida State University. Currently a doctoral student at Louisiana State University, she is an Andean Archaeologist working in the department of Ancash in Peru. Her research interests include north-central highland interactions with the coast during the Early Intermediate Period (200 BC - 600 AD). More specifically, Kimberly is studying the Recuay (1-600 AD) culture and their settlement patterns on the outskirts of the Cajellon de Huaylas. Kimberly has seven years of CRM experience throughout the Southeast United States, primarily working with the United States Forest Service and National Park Service. She also has four years of field experience in Peru, in the Chao valley on the northern coast, and the Cajellon de Huaylas in the central highlands.
